The WikiLeaks expose’ of his plea to Podesta makes it clear that influence at the highest levels of government and power over policy-making, not conservation of lands, resources and living things, are at the heart of their radical agenda. On November 9, at approximately midnight, it became crystal clear to all, that this agenda had been unequivocally rejected by the millions of rural Americans who have been in its crosshairs for years.
Just two days prior to the election of President-elect Trump, Free Range Report published a piece exposing an email exchange which took place in February between Hillary Clinton’s bosom-buddy, John Podesta, and Mike Matz of the left-wing environmentalist group, PEW Environment. Apparently anticipating that Hillary Clinton would be the Democrat nominee for president–and likely winner of the general election–Matz reached out to Podesta to express his frustrations with events which were hindering Obama’s push to create an unprecedented number of national monuments during the remaining months of his presidency. The email thread reveals Matz’ desire for the forthcoming Clinton Administration to carry on, indeed shift into hyper-drive, Obama’s aggressive monuments push.
Now, during the waning weeks of Obama’s presidency, with threats from President-elect Trump of executive reversals of Obama’s executive actions, Matz and others of his radical ilk are themselves, putting pressure tactics into hyper-drive in hopes that the regime will lock up as much land and resources as possible before January 20, 2017.
In his email to Podesta, Matz explicitly mentioned the expansion of the existing national monument near the location of the standoff between federal BLM and FBI agents, and rural activists, led by Ammon Bundy, protesting the imprisonment of ranchers Dwight and Steven Hammond. The email read in part:
Frustrated in February, and likely in a full-blown panic following the election of Trump, Matz is relentlessly pressuring Obama and his agencies to finalize proposed monuments in Oregon.

Most problematic for the Obama Administration and Matz, however, is the proposed designation of Bears Ears in southeastern Utah, which is ardently opposed by the local Navajo and Ute tribes. Although environmentalists have pushed the Bears Ears Intertribal Coalition as supporters of the proposed monument, those tribes are largely from Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, and other areas of Utah, and will not be directly impacted by a 1.9 million acre national monument smack in the middle of ancestral lands. But Matz doesn’t bother to mention the Navajo and Ute people in San Juan County, Utah, he relies on outdoor recreation corporations to help him lobby to turn Native American ancestral lands into playgrounds for elite athletes.

It’s hard to find a region of the country which is not targeted by Matz’ @YourPublicLands Twitter account. Owyhee in Oregon, Cascade Siskiyou in Northern California and Oregon, Bears Ears in Utah, the Greater Grand Canyon in Arizona, Gold Butte in Nevada, Colorado Continental Divide, Birthplace of Rivers in West Virginia, Rogue Canyon and Molalla Rivers in Tennessee, et al., are all up for federal seizure. To Matz and others in the extreme, ‘the only worthy industry is eco-tourism’ wing of the environmentalist movement, there seems to be no limit on how much land they want confiscated and put under lock and key by the federal government and its imperious agencies.
Matz’ desperation seems clear in the email to Podesta, and surely, as the inauguration of a pragmatic, America-first Capitalist president-elect looms, he and his one-worlder environmentalist buddies are probably blowing an aneurysm. Matz urged Podesta to ‘move forward’ with federal land takeovers, of which almost everyone has grown suspicious and weary.
But it’s important to be clear about who Mike Matz and his envirocronies are. The WikiLeaks expose’ of his plea to Podesta makes it clear that influence at the highest levels of government and power over policy-making, not conservation of lands, resources and living things, are at the heart of their radical agenda. At approximately zero hour on November 9, it became crystal clear to all that this agenda had been unequivocally rejected by the millions of rural Americans who have been in its crosshairs for years.
